
The 2008 World Championship of Online Poker had a guaranteed prize pool of more than $30 Million spread over 33 events, and the WCOOP goes on record as the biggest online poker tournament ever. WCOOP games ranged from Holden, Omaha, RAZZ, HORSE, 2-7 Draw and more.
ncluded in this years event were two new High-Roller events which attracted the world’s best online players. The first of the high roller events was Event 5, a $10,300 No Limit Hold’em tournament which was won by dorinvandy who took home $617,925 for first place. The World Championship of Online Poker high roller event was Event 19, a $25,500 Heads-Up No Limit Holdem event that attracted 64 players and was won by stevesbets who won $560,000.
16 days filled with the highest level of poker competition it all came down to the $10 Million guaranteed main event, help September 21-22. First place went to ckingusc who beat 2184 other players to take home the WCOOP bracelet and over $1.2M in prize money.
