Sklansky Starting Hand Groups |

David Sklansky, nicknamed "The Mathematician" is a professional poker player and author of several leading poker books. Sklansky's book the Theory of Poker is considered essential reading for any poker player.
Davind Sklansky and Mason Malmuth created groups of starting hands and suggested that all starting hands in the group could normally be played in a similar fashion. Stronger starting hands are grouped in a lower number (1) while weaker starting hands are grouped in a higher number (7).
As you can see Sklansky's starting hands, his premium hands are in group 1:
AA, KK, QQ, JJ, Aks
